Award-winning QbCheck

ADHD screener test

Did you know ADHD was first diagnosed in the 1960s.

The process of diagnosing has seen very little change since then with many practitioners solely relying on subjective information that is until now!

QbCheck is a scientific FDA cleared computerised, subjective measure of ADHD symptoms of activity, attention and impulsivity in children and adults.

At D R Downes & Associates we provide you with objective data to inform your decision about ruling in or ruling out ADHD full diagnosis.

Who is suitable for a QbCheck?

Anyone aged 6 to 60 years old, the QbCheck is used as an aid during the assessment and reviewing of therapy for ADHD.

Our ADHD QbCheck is ideal for anyone who would like to know if their or their child’s behaviours are indicative of ADHD, or any other condition. This service gives you the opportunity to discuss behaviours, and provides you access with objective technology that can screen for ADHD symptoms. This test includes a report where we will provide you with advice for the next steps to take, depending on the likelihood of having ADHD.

What happens during the QbCheck?

At D R Downes & Associates, we believe in a comprehensive and holistic approach to ADHD assessment for everyone. We ensure that you or your child receives the best and most appropriate screening possible.

QbCheck is a specially designed test of continuous performance. The QbCheck is done in clinic on a computer. Our licensed and trained healthcare professional will guide you through the computerised task before it begins and is there if you need assistance.  Please note the test doesn’t require you or your child to use a computer keyboard.

The QbCheck helps to analyse the core signs of ADHD using objective data. The test will examine the three domains of ADHD symptoms; inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity.

The QbCheck compares your performance to that of groups of people with the same age and gender, with and without ADHD.

At D R Downes & Associates, we provide everyone with the QbCheck before providing any further recommendations for a full assessment.

What is the cost of QbCheck?

A licensed healthcare professional will facilitate the QbCheck test at a cost of £250:

  • Please allow approximately an 1 hour for the QbCheck appointment
  • Initial consultation, setup and guidance (15 min)
  • QbCheck test (20-30 mins)
  • Next steps (15 minutes)

What happens after the QbCheck?

If your results do not indicate signs of ADHD after this initial test, our team will still provide a preliminary report for you and make recommendation as to your next steps.

If you do indicate signs of ADHD after the QbCheck, we provide a report for onward referral for a formal diagnosis.
